YEREVAN, JUNE 9, ARMENPRESS: Name of the person who will represent
Armenia in the junior "Eurovision 2009" international song contest
will be known on July 12. The Public TV already receives applications
of participation in the Armenian qualification round.
Consultant of the Public TV for the special projects Diana Mnatsakanian
told Armenpress that June 22 is the deadline for submission of the
applications. During the first pre-election round the jury will with
close and secret voting select 7 best songs. The presented works must
never be issued or presented to the public by June 1 this year.
The duration of the works must not exceed 2.45 minutes and be less
than 2.30 minutes and must be only in Armenian. 7 best songs which
will be selected during the first round will be presented during the
second round which will be held July 12 the exact time of which will
be later publicized.
The jury of the second qualification round will assess the results
through close and secret voting. The Armenian audience may also take
part in the voting through SMS messages for which 15 minutes of time
will be provided.
Person who will get the highest points from the jury and message voting
will get a right to represent Armenia in the junior "Eurovision 2009"
international song contest which will take place November 21 in Kiev.
