Who are the owners of Glendale Hills, VivaCell, and Beeline? How can
one become a millionaire with a ridiculous salary?
The question was raised at the National Assembly by MP Stepan
Safaryan today.
Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan gave no definite answer while
Stepan Safaryan said he meant Armenia's ex President Robert Kocharyan.
"Do you think it accidental that the names of these companies are
connected with the acting and previous authorities? Why do European
structures cheat us and say our top officials rank among the well-off
people of the world?" wondered Mr. Safaryan.
Tigran Davtyan noted that the owners of the above-said companies are
well known to everybody.
Stepan Safaryan then wondered what measures were being taken to
disclose the assailants on journalists.
Armen Martirosyan continued the theme of mass media and wondered when
the government would finally return embattled A1+ to the air.
"Will tenders for free frequencies be announced by 2010?" asked
Mr. Martirosyan.
Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan refrained from answering the
question. "Our country cannot avoid digitalization and a tender will
be announced by 2010," he said.
Another Heritage MP, Zaruhy Postanjyan raised a most concerning
question: why aren't the policemen using special means during the
March 1 events disclosed and brought to trial?
Justice Minister Gevorg Danielyan replied that "the pre-trial body
is charged with the investigation."
The other MPs were content with the government's activity.
