WHO THEY WERE, IF NOT PEOPLE

On June 15, the Head of the Nor Zhamanakner party Aram Karapetyan went
into details of his speech at the June 12 oppositional rally. According
to him, he stressed two main points.

The first one was that after the election the government felt very
relaxed and free. Aram Karapetyan recalled the football match between
Armenian and Turkish junior national teams, which Armenia lost with
5:2 score, and reminded with whom Serge Sargsyan was watching the
match and how they behaved. He stated that they make steps to provoke
the society as if they do not care for the opinion of the public.

According to him, the government thinks that since they "kicked" the
HAK, they may feel free. Aram Karapetyan stated that the opposition
needs to be re-formed, has to take lessons from everything. He stated
that there are people, who state that the opposition is broken and
the people are disappointed, but he stressed that the same happened
after the 2003 presidential election and after the clashes in April
2004. Karapetyan noted that the answer of everything gave March
    1. And he wondered if people are disappointed, who were those that
were standing in the square from February 20 until March 1.
