The third "DigiTec Business 2009" forum kicked off in Yerevan today.
Despite the global crisis, the number of participants and visitors
increased 30% this year. According to the Executive Director of the
Union of Union of Information Technology Enterprises, Karen Vardanyan,
the solutions have also become more promising. "There are 12 newly
established companies, which participate in the business forum. We
expect 1 500 visitors this year," he said.
To what extent has the global crisis affected the field of Information
Technologies? "I don't think there has been serious influence. Some
companies have felt the impact of the crisis, others have grown,"
Karen Vardanyan said.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the opening of the "DigiTec
Business 2009" forum. According to the Prime Minister, the participant
companies do not only have an opportunity to present themselves,
but also get familiarized with the work their colleagues have done
over a year.
