NATIONAL PROGRAM OF FIGHTING DRUGS TO BE WORKED OUT IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JUNE 19, NOYAN TAPAN. The working group on elaboration of
the national program of fighting drugs has today convened its first
sitting chaired by Artur Baghdasarian, Secretary of National Security
Council and Head of the inter-departmental commission of coordination
of the Armenia's cooperation with the European structures.
Stressing that the elaboration of national program is envisaged by
the 2009-2011 Armenia-EU program, Artur Baghdasarian pointed out the
importance of working out and implementimg a national program against
drugs in a possible short period of time.
According to the Press Service of National Security Council, during the
sitting it was decided through cooperation with the representatives
of program of fighting drugs in the South Caucasus to work out the
general principles of the national program, discuss the program with
the interested institutions and European experts and to submit it to
the endorsement according to the set order.
