EDWARD NALBANDYAN: RELATIONS BETWEEN ARMENIA AND UAE DEVELOP DYNAMICALLY

ArmInfo. Relations between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates
develop dynamically, that is testified by the mutual high-level visits,
as well as the growing interest in Armenia by the Arab businessmen,
Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan said at a joint press
conference with his Arab counterpart Abdallah Bin Zayid Al Nahyan.
According to E. Nalbandyan, the Emirates are the main trade-economic
partner for Armenia in the Near East region, and our country is
interested in further deepening and development of relations with UAE.
In his turn, UAE FM emphasized that his country intends to take
specific steps for extension of cooperation with Armenia and the visit
of the delegation of businessmen, he is accompanied by, pursues just
this aim.
Responding to ArmInfo's question concerning assessment of the level
of bilateral trade and economic relations, Abdallah Bin Zayid Al
Nahyan said the two countries have much potential for development of
bilateral economic cooperation. 'Our companies may actively cooperate
in implementation of joint programmes', the minister said. He expressed
gratitude to the government of Armenia for assistance in attraction
of investments by UAE and emphasized the necessity of continuing the
work in this direction.
