A protest against Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's visit
to Armenia will be staged outside the headquarters of the Armenian
president's administration in Yerevan on Wednesday, a spokesman for
the Mitk analytical center told Interfax.
The action's organizers, who are representatives of the Mitk center,
will demand that Saakashvili "grant the status of Georgia's state
language to the Armenian language in Javakhk [Samtskhe-Javakheti,
a predominantly Armenian region within Georgia], begin investing in
the region and end excessive checks on the border between Javakhk
and Armenia."
The Georgian president and his wife Sandra Roelofs are to arrive in
Yerevan on Wednesday for a two-day official visit at the invitation
of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
