EDWARD NALBANDIAN PARTAKES IN THE OSCE MINISTERIAL MEETING

On June 28 the Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian,
participated in the official meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers
on the Greek island of Corfu dedicated to issues of reinforcement of
security in Europe. The meeting initiated by the Foreign Minister of
Greece was attended by the Foreign Ministers of the 45 OSCE member
states, high-rank representatives from CSTO, CIS, EU, NATO and OSCE.
Minister Nalbandian delivered a report, where he presented Armenia's
stance on ensuring security in Europe.
On the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Edward Nalbandian participated
in the meeting of the OSCE member states and had a number of bilateral
meetings.
During the meeting with Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Møller the
parties discussed the ways of development of bilateral relations in
political and economic spheres. The Ministers exchanged views on issues
pertaining to ensuring stability in the South Caucasus. Accepting
Minister Nalbandian's invitation, Per Stig Møller said he would
visit Yerevan in the fall.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Switzerland Edward Nalbandian
and Micheline Calmy-Rey dwelt on the further deepening of bilateral
relations.
Mrs. Calmy-Rey informed about the decision to open an Embassy in
Armenia.
