ARMENIAN MEDICAL WORLD CONGRESS TO BE HELD ON JULY 1-4 IN NEW YORK

YEREVAN, JUNE 29, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. Armenian Medical World
Congress will be held on the initiative of Armenian-American Health
Professionals Organization at New York Hilton hotel on July 1-4. The
Azg daily reported this citing the Armenian Mirror-Spectator weekly.
A great number of prominent Armenian doctors will be present and
will take part in the proceedings of the congress. The inventor
of the MRI and world-famous Dr. Raymond Damadian, the minister of
Health of Great Britain Lord Ara Darzi, the professor of University
of California San Diego Dr. Hagop Akiskal, the leading surgeon of New
York's Lenox Hill hospital Dr. Vicken Pamoukian, the Health Ministers
of Armenia and Karabakh, the Minister of Diaspora, the Head of Yerevan
State Medical University, the Director of Medical library and others
will be among them.
Plenary sessions on comparative health care system, innovations
in pharmacy, and such sub-special themes as dentisty, anesthesia,
nursing , etc are scheduled.
Those present will honor Lord Ara Darzi and father and son Nazar and
Levon Nazarians during the gala event at the Hilton hotel on the last
day of the conference.
