YEREVAN, Mar. 03: In the midst of the financial crisis the NOC of
Armenia has secured a substantial bilateral deal with VivaCell-MTS
for 100 million AMD equaling US$327,000 to develop sport.
The plan is destined to aid the NOC during this year to support
training and attendance at international events.
NOC President, Gagik Tsarukyan, commented, "VivaCell-MTS makes a
significant investment in the development of sport and healthy way
of living in Armenia. This cooperation with the Olympic Committee is
intended to develop different sports in Armenia."
The General Director of VivaCell-MTS added, "We believe in our
sportsmen and their abilities. We will feel happy to see our sportsmen
competing in different international competitions, and this is stimulus
not only for VivaCell-MTS but for the Armenians also."
