/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Armenian track and field athlet Haykanush
Beklaryan finished her indoor performance in the 30th European
Championship in Turin from March 6-8. Haykanush participated in
`triple jump' discipline and with the worst result took the 20th place
from among 21 participants, due to the absence of a Czech sportsman,
Marina Shestakova. Nevertheless, Haykanush Beglaryan exceeded her
previous individual record (12,51) in the European Championship by
jumping 12,57 meters. The best result was performed by the
representative of Slovakia, Maria Shestak- 14,52 meters. It should be
mentioned that the finalists will be the sportsmen who were among the
first ten participants in qualification round.

The qualification round of the competition among men in the discipline
of `long jump' is to take place March 7 where another participant from
    Armenia, Arsen Sarkisyan will participate.
