ArmInfo. Remaining faithful to himself, Foreign Minister of Turkey Ali
Babacan said once again that the steps which could be taken by third
countries on the issue would not bring any good but harm this process.
Touching on the Genocide Resolution introduced in US Congress on
March 18 A. Babacan expressed hope that the 'lawmakers will be aware
of the ongoing process and act responsibly'.
To recall, the Resolution was introduced by 77 co-sponsors in the
House of Representatives.
According to the Turkish media, there is little chance that the
resolution will be passed in Congress given the administration's
deep interest in strong ties with Turkey as a strategic partner in
the Middle East and the ongoing talks between Turkey and Armenia.
