Production on Atom Egoyan's Chloe will continue in the wake of the
death of actress Natasha Richardson, the wife of the film's star, Liam
Neeson.
Richardson died Wednesday in New York following a ski accident in the
Quebec resort of Mt. Tremblant. The New York City medical examiner's
office said the actress died from a blunt impact to the head.
In a series of statements, the film's production office said the
shooting schedule will focus on scenes featuring other cast members,
including Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried.
The statement read: `There are some scenes with Liam Neeson which have
not been completed, however, we do not feel this is the time to
address that matter. Our concern is for Liam and his family at this
difficult time,` adding that the entire cast and crew are `bereft.'
Egoyan added a personal note: `I had the opportunity to meet Natasha
at the opening of the play I did with Liam in New York last year. Her
intense pride and affection for her husband was so clear, as was his
passion and love for her. I'm so devastated for Liam's loss.'
