ARMENIAN OPPOSITIONIST POLITICIAN: INCUMBENT AUTHORITIES IN ARMENIA FAILING TO MAINTAIN POWER

ArmInfo. Incumbent authorities of Armenia are failing to maintain
power, Ludmila Sargsyan, a member of the Armenian National Congress,
Chairman of the Armenian Social Democratic Party Hnchakyan, said at
a press conference Wednesday.
'The political situation in the country is not stable and the public is
polarized. The incumbent authorities that came to power illegitimately
have nothing to do but transfer the power to the opposition. In this
connection, the upcoming elections to the Elder's Council of Yerevan
are a good opportunity to transfer the power', L. Sargsyan said.
Nevertheless, she made a statement contradicting to her own
words. Thus, she said the fight during the elections will be between
Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Serzh Sargsyan and not Gagik Beglaryan
and Levon Ter-Petrosyan since the upcoming elections will be the
continuation of the past presidential election and the incumbent
authorities will try to maintain power by all means possible.
