VISIT TO TOMB OF ANDRANIK MARGARYAN

YEREVAN
Today is the second death anniversary of outstanding state and
political figure, 2000-2007 Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik
Margaryan (1951-2007). On this occasion high-ranked officials,
party-friends, members of parliament, government, friends, relatives,
members of family visited Yerevan town pantheon to pay tribute to
the memory of the former prime minister.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan,
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Yerevan mayor Gagik Beglaryan,
Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasarian,
son of Andranik Margaryan - head of Avan district Taron Margaryan
and other officials put flowers on the tomb of former prime minister.
Andranik Margarian was born in 1951 in Yerevan. He actively
participated in the organization of volunteer squads during the
Karabakh liberation movement, participated in military activities.
He was member of parliament, head of the NA's "Unity" faction, was
elected head of the Armenian Republican party.
