ANKARA-APA. COURT FINES CHP DEPUTY CANAN ARITMAN CLAIMING THAT ABDULLAH GUL'S MOTHER IS OF ARMENIAN ORIGIN

Ankara-APA. Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Canan Aritman,
who claimed that Gul's mother is of Armenian origin, will pay 1YTL
lawsuit petition, APA reports quoting Anadolu agency.
The trial was held with participation of the president's lawyer Omer
Kucukozcan and the lawyer of Aritman Rezzan Aydinoglu at Ankara Second
Peace Court. The Court accused Aritman of staining personality of
the President and demanded to pay 1YTL.
Aritman said at press conference that Turkish President supported the
campaign " We apology to Armenians " concerning developments in 1915.
"Let the President be engaged in presidency, not ethnic root of
Turkish nation. If you investigate ethnic root of Gul by mother side,
you will see everything," claimed that Abdullah Gul's mother is of
Armenian origin. Gul appealed to the court after it.
