TWO MORE ARRESTED OVER BAKU COLLEGE SHOOTING

Two people more people were detained on Monday in connection with
the killing of 12 people at the State Oil Academy in Azerbaijan's
capital, Baku.
Last Thursday 29-year-old Farda Gadyrov is reported to have gone on
a shooting spree at the academy killing 12 students and staff dead
and wounding 13 others, before turning the gun on himself.
Azerbaijani national Gafur Kazymov, who worked at a construction
site in the Russian Far Eastern city of Vladivostok, was arrested and
transported to Baku. According to unofficial reports, the cell phone
the gunman had with him at the time of the attack was registered in
Kazymov's name.
The second detainee is Dzhavidan Amirov, a Georgian national
of Azerbaijani origin, from the village of Shulaveri in Georgia's
Marneuli district near the border with Azerbaijan and Armenia. His
connection with the gunman has not been disclosed, but police retrieved
12 cartridges and some hashish during a search of his house.
Azerbaijani investigators have so far made no comment on the arrests.
Last Friday police detained Nadir Aliyev, a Georgian national living
in Azerbaijan, who is reported to have known the gunman.
