New Broadcasting Station Launched

Yesterday, on May 7, the Day of the first sound broadcasting technology
of the last century, the number of residential areas of our Republic,
where Armenian TV channels are not broadcasted, decreased by 10. On the
territory of Nakhijevanik (Askeran region) a new telecasting station
was put into operation, the opening ceremony of which was participated
by the NKR Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan, representatives of the
Department of Industrial Infrastructures and "ArtsakhKap" CJSC, the
head of Askeran regional administration and heads of all communities so
longing for this day.
The number of telecasting stations, built during the Soviet years
and functioning up today, amounts 30. Their quantity, supplied with
modern equipments and comprehensive facilities, increased by one more
station. Henceforth, Armenian TV channels will be accessible in more
than 10 villages of Askeran region. Equipments for the other stations
to be installed on the territory of the Republic have been already
ordered, and works will start as soon as they are received.
The new telecasting station has secured new working places as well.
