Dear Compatriots, I am congratulating warmly you on Victory and
Peace Day.
Each year on this remarkable day we get filled with the sacred
feelings of unity and solidarity, national spirit and dignity which
have helped us score crucial achievements. If we are to build a safe
future, our historical victories - from Avarayr to Shushi - should be
reassessed and comprehended from the perspective of today's realities
and threats. We must bow low before the memory of several thousands
of brave Armenians who gave their lives to save the nation and the
Motherland, as well as to earn the right of living in freedom and
dignity in a sovereign country.
Never can we forget that the people of Armenia made a valuable
contribution struggling against fascism during World War II.
Any Armenian cares just as much for our recent victories - those
heroic chapters written during the fight for Artsakh's freedom as
they are the proof of our nation's military skills and fighting spirit.
Congratulating you on Victory and Peace Day, I wish you all
robust health, peace and creative work for the sake of strengthened
sovereign statehood, accomplished national goals and continued march
of generations.
