HOVIK ABRAHAMIAN RECEIVES MEMBERS OF IRI MAJLIS IRAN-ARMENIA DEPUTY FRIENDSHIP GROUP

YEREVAN, MAY 12, NOYAN TAPAN. RA National Assembly Speaker Hovik
Abrahamian on May 12 received members of the IRI Majlis Iran-Armenia
deputy friendship group led by Arslan Fathipur. H. Abrahamian attached
importance to the role of Armenia's and Iran's parliaments in the
issue of development of bilateral relations.
According to the report of the RA NA Public Relations Department, with
a bilateral consent the sides discussed possible steps to be undertaken
by the legislators in order to strengthen the cooperation. In that
context the interlocutors touched upon current cooperation programs
in the sphere of trade and economy, transport, communication, as well
as in a number of other spheres. They also touched upon regional and
international security issues.
IRI Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to RA Seid Ali
Saghaian took part in the meeting.
