NA SPEAKER RECEIVES MEMBERS OF GROUP OF DELEGATES OF IRAN-ARMENIA RELATIONSHIP OF IRANIAN MEJLIS

YEREVAN, MAY 12, ARMENPRESS: The NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan
received today the chairperson of group of delegates of Iran-Armenia
relationship of Iranian Mejlis (parliament) Arslan Fatkhipuri and
members of the group.
Public relations department of the Armenian Parliament told Armenpress
that at the beginning of the conversation Mr. Fatkhpur conveyed
Iranian counterpart Mr. Larijani's warm greetings to the NA Speaker
and on behalf of him reconfirmed the invitation to H. Abrahamyan to
visit Iran. H. Abrahamyan expressed his gratitude over the invitation
after which the sides referred to the details of the visit.
During the meeting, H. Abrahamyan stressed the importance of the
role of Armenian and Iranian parliaments in development of bilateral
relations. On the mutual agreement the sides have discussed the
possible steps to be undertaken by the legislative bodies towards
enhancement of the cooperation. In this context the interlocutors
referred to the cooperation projects existing in trade-economic,
transport, communication as well as in a number of other spheres.
They have also referred to the regional and international security
issues.
The Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Saghaian also took part
in the meeting.
