buckwheat - 5.4 times, eggs - 2.32 times, yogurt - 2.20 times,
cheese - 1.54 times, cucumber - 3.16 times, vermicelli - 2.56 times,
and vodka - 1.65 times. Pork consumption grew because of the barbeque
season. Vegetables and local fruits consumption growth is seasonal.
Consumption of chicken fell as frozen chicken grew in price 25%. At
the same time, consumption of grit grew, especially of buckwheat,
despite the 47% rise of price. Experts say consumer preference of
grit to meat is not a result of the crisis yet.
