for new nuclear power unit construction in Armenia, announced on
Feb. 23, 2009, RA State Purchases Department Press Service reported.
WorleyParsons will assist RA Government throughout the course of
construction.
WorleyParsons Limited ASX: WOR is a large Australian provider
of professional services to the energy, resource, and complex
process industries. It is often cited as being Australia's largest
engineering firm and is also one of the world's largest engineering
design firms. The company has a market capitalization greater than
AU$4 billion, and makes up 0.29% of the S&P/ASX 200 index (June 2008).
Armenian plans the construction of a 1000-megawatt nuclear power unit,
construction costs totaling around USD 5 billion. In 2006 the Armenian
Government abolished state monopoly for new nuclear power units to
attract foreign investments. Construction works will be launched
in 2011.
