SERZH SARGSYAN: THE ACCIDENT AT NAIRIT PLANT SHOULD BECOME A SIGNAL FOR THE HEADS AND OWNERS OF OTHER PLANTS IN ARMENIA

ArmInfo. The accident at Nairit Plant should be a signal for the heads
and owners of other plants in the country, Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan told journalists during his visit to Nairit Plant, Friday.
'Yesterday's incident has become a real trial for rescue services,
whose employees managed to do their work competently and without
delay at the risk of their lives. Yesterday we gave an instruction
to carry out relevant expert examination to exclude such incidents
in the future. Unfortunately, this disaster caused human victims. I
deeply condole with the families of the victims and injured. Certainly,
the attention to be paid to them by the plant's leadership and state
bodies will not compensate for their losses, however, it may be some
relief to them. This accident should become a signal for the heads
and owners of other plants of Armenia',- the president said.
To recall, 4 were killed and 8 were injured as a result of the
explosion.
The fire was extinguished at 10:25 pm, Thursday. The company leadership
is currently providing assistance to the families of the victims
and injured.
