SERZH SARGSYAN: MUCH TO BE DONE FOR INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AND CONDEMNATION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

Yerevan, May 15, Noyan Tapan. Much to be done for the international
recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, the Genocide
is crime against humanity, and these efforts will never lose
their public and international significance. This was stated by
the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan during the 2008 President's
award-giving ceremony on May 15. He particularly mentioned activities
of Vahagn Tatrian and Volfgang Gust, who were awarded prizes for
their significant contribution towards international recognition and
condemnation the Armenian Genocide.
Mr. Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the Poghosyans family foundation
(France), whose efforts and resources enabled to bring to life
President's awards. Benefactor Albert Poghosyan was present at the
award-giving ceremony.
