Iranian MP, Armenian Speaker discuss ties

Ahar-Tabriz, East Azarbayjan Province, 16 May: The head of the
Iran-Armenia friendship parliamentary delegation has said that the
expansion of relations between Tehran and Yerevan will ensure and
bring more stability and security to the region.
Speaking to an IRNA news agency reporter, Arsalan Fathipur pointed out
his yesterday's meeting with the Armenian Speaker [Hovik Abrahamyan].
During their meeting, they stressed the need for expanding economic
and cultural ties between the two countries describing this as an
appropriate opportunity to continue their cooperation in the
state-owned and private sectors.
Focusing on friendly and sincere cooperation between Iran and Armenia,
they called for improvement of bilateral ties in the fields of trade,
banking, insurance, tax and customs in order to simplify trade between
the two countries. They also stressed the need to establish working
groups and special committees for providing the grounds for removing
existing obstacles.
