CSTO DEPUTY SECRETARY GENERAL: RUSSIAN MILITARY EQUIPMENT MAINLY SUPPLIED TO BELARUS AND ARMENIA WITHIN THE FRAMES OF CSTO

ArmInfo. The armament and the Russian military equipment is mainly
supplied to Belarus and Armenia within the frames of CSTO, CSTO
deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov said in Minsk on May 20,
CSTO spokesman Vitaly Strugovets told ArmInfo today.
'In general, the agreement on the basic principles of the
military-technical cooperation within the frames of CSTO is in full
effect and envisages supply of the military equipment and armament
to CSTO countries at discount prices existing in Russia. The major
part of supplies is carried out as a grant assistance', Semerikov
said. To note, the chairmanship in CSTO passed from Kyrgyzstan to
Armenia in 2008.
