Russian Federal Security Service Frontier Department in Armenia will
be fully equipped with contract manpower by 2012, Sergey Bondarev,
Lt. General, Head of the Russian Federal Security Service Frontier
Department in Armenia told media Wednesday.
'The process of 100% switch to contract service has got underway. The
purposeful and regular activities held in this dimension for 6 years
have already brought results. At present the share of contract manpower
is 62%. Till the end of 2011 conscripts will make up only 9%', he said.
Russian frontiers serve in Armenia on the basis of a bilateral
inter-state treaty between Russia and Armenia concluded in 1992.
