FINANCE MIN: RUSSIA TO PROVIDE $500 MLN LOAN TO ARMENIA THIS WEEK

Russia will provide a U.S. $500 million 15-year loan to Armenia at
an annual interest rate of 3% over Libor this week, Russian Deputy
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said late Tuesday,
ITAR-TASS reported.
The agreement to provide the loan, which has a 5-year grace period,
was signed on May 20 by Kudrin and Armenian Finance Minister Tigran
Davtyan.
Armenia plans to use the funds to stimulate the development of
the country's economy, as well as finance infrastructure projects
and support the development of small- and medium-sized businesses,
according to earlier reports.
