'GRIAR INSURANCE' INSURED 'ARMENIA' SAILBOAT WHICH SET OUT ROUND-THE-WORLD TRIP

ArmInfo. The sailboat "Armenia" which set out from Valencia port on
28 May to the round-the-world trip with a crew that consists of 7
people, was insured by Armenian 'Griar Insurance' company for about
1 bln Armenian drams (700 thsd EUR). The reinsuring was implemented
by the known company with the relevant international rating.
As director of 'Griar Insurance' Armen Petrosyan told Arminfo
correspondent, the crew of the boat, responsibility of the owner of
the boat and the sailboat itself were insured.
To note, 'Griar-Insurance' was provided the licence to insure water
vehicles and responsibility for using the water vehicle in February
2009 and it is the only company with such qualification in the market.
To recall, the sailboat will sail to Gibraltar, Atlantic Ocean,
Barbados Island, Panama Channel, Pacific Ocean, North America, then
back to Panama, Atlantic Ocean, South America, C. Horn, Pacific
Ocean, New Zealand, Australia, Indian Ocean, Indonesian Islands,
Singapore, Hindustan Peninsula, Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Suez Channel
and Mediterranean Sea. The official terminal is Beyrut port, with
Valencia being a de jure terminal.
