Minsk Group co-chairs from the United States, Russia and France will
arrive in Armenia on Friday evening, said spokesman for the Armenian
Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan.
"They are expected to meet with the country's leadership tomorrow",
said Balayan.
The regional visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs started with
Azerbaijan on Friday. The main purpose of the visit is to prepare for
the next meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan Serzh
Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev within the framework of the economic forum
in Saint-Petersburg.
The previous meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan
took place in Prague on May 7.
OSCE MG co-chairs on Nagorno Karabakh - Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia),
Matthew Bryza (USA) and Bernard Fassier (France)- consider that the
meetings of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan Serzh Sargsyan
and Ilham Aliyev will help achieve definite progress on the basic
principles of the Karabakh conflict settlement by the end of the year.
