Candidate for Yerevan Mayor hopes for free and fair elections to
Elders' Council

ArmInfo. 'Gagik Tsaroukyan is the only person to decide whether the
Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will leave the parliamentary coalition
or not', Haroutiun Kushkyan, Candidate for Yerevan Mayor, Minister of
Health Care, told media after voting on May 31 when asked if the party
will leave the coalition in case of election rigging.
Generally, H. Kushkyan called the elections to the Elders' Council a
step forward and expressed full confidence in free and fair elections.
He highlighted that PAP headquarters received no complaints as of
11:00am local time.
The elections to the Elders' Council of Yerevan are held for the first
time. Six parties and 1 bloc run for the Council. The first candidate
in the list of the party that will gain majority at the Council will
automatically become Yerevan Mayor.
