NOVEMBER 2 ANNOUNCED DAY OF ARMENIA IN MAYOR'S OFFICE OF BAGNO A RIPOLI CITY, ITALIAN TOSCANA PROVINCE

BAGNO A RIPOLI, NOVEMBER 4, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. November 2
was announced Day of Armenia in the Mayor's Office of Bagno a Ripoli
city of Italian Toscana province.
According to the RA Foreign Ministry Press and Information Department,
the launching of the program of restoration of water system in the
village of Aygebats, RA Shirak region, took place on that day.
According to that program financed by EU, the water pipeline of
nearly 7 km leading to the village is restored at the first stage,
then the whole internal water supply system in the village will be
restored by the second stage. 300 000 euros have been allocated for
the first stage.
The press conference of Ambassador of RA to Italy Ruben Karapetian
followed the launching. Ambassador Karapetian attached importance
to establishment of direct contacts between Armenia and Italy
at provincial, town and village levels. The Ambassador expressed
gratitude for program's initiation and expressed the hope that it
will also serve as example for other provinces and cities of Italy.
The same day Italian pupils of Bagno a Ripoli city school presented
a performance titled Ararat dedicated to Armenian people's history
and culture.
