THE REPUBLICAN 9TH SCIENTIFIC SESSION LAUNCHED IN THE NAS

Today in the frameworks of the events dedicated to the 50th anniversary
of Arts' institute's foundation of the National Academy of Science
of the Armenian Republic launched the 9th republican scientific
session. In the scientific session partake the head of the Arts
institution of the RA NAS Ararat Aghasyan, the chairman, of State
Committee of Science of the National Academy of Science Samvel
Harutyunyan, Academician-vice Chairman of the Armenian National
Academy of Sciences Dr. Vladimir Barkhudaryan.
The opening speech was made by the director of the Art institute Ararat
Aghasyan. He congratulated everyone on the 50th anniversary of the
Arts Institute, and mentioned that "this 50 year old session sums up
the activity of the institution and this jubilee is characteristic as
it sums up the achievements of the institute, and the session helps
us to see what they have gor at present and what expectations can
they have in the future."
He also stressed that due to the scientific reports will be promoted
the artistic mind and the issues that are faced by the study of art
will be revealed.
On his turn Academician-vice Chairman of the Armenian National Academy
of Sciences Dr. Vladimir Barkhudaryan said that "the scientific
discussions will rise the level of the art criticism as sometimes
there are works published where the required quality is not preserved
and these scientific discussions will promote to rise the quality of
such kind of works."
On the session was present also Karo Vardanyan, the deputy chief
of the department of modern and folk arts of the Ministy of Culture
of the Republic of Armenia. He awarded Doctor of Architecture Murad
Hasratyan and the head of the music department of the Arts institute,
deputy director Gevorg Gyodakyan with the "Golden Medal" of the
Culture Ministry of Armenia.
The session works will last for two days during which 40 art critics
will appear with reports about different branches of art.
