/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Public Council for defense and National Security
of Armenia is against the Armenian- Turkish Protocols, member of the
Council, director of the Armenian Center for Basic Sciences Simon
Kamsarakan told a press conference in Yerevan today.
Simon Kamsarakan commented on the statement made by the Public Council
Chair Vazgen Manukyan during the meeting with RA President Serzh
Sargsyan, that all 12 chairmen welcome the Protocols. According to
Simon Kamsarakan, Vazgen Manukyan's statement is untrue, since the
12 chairmen can not express the views of all members of the Public
Council, having over 1500 members.
"October 18 during a regular meeting of the Council, I made the
following proposal - to convene a meeting to discuss Vazgen Manukyan,"
Simon Kamsarakan said. He intends to appeal to the President of Armenia
to request Manukyan's resignation from the post of the Public Council
chair, and to go to law.
