BY PRELIMINARY INFORMATION, PROMISES TO DONATE MORE THAN 1 MILLION EUROS MADE DURING PHONETHON IN FRANCE

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 23, NOYAN TAPAN. By preliminary information, promises
to donate more than one million euros were made during the phonethon
(telephone marathon) held by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund in France
on November 19-22, NT correspondent was informed by the press service
of the Hayastan Fund. A sum of 1 million 301 thousand 871 euros was
collected as a result of last year's fund-raising event.
The phonethon has been held since 2000. Every year, in mid November
some 600 volunteers from 5 French cities call Europe-based Armenians
during four consecutive days and present the Fund's upcoming projects
to them.
To recap, the Television Marathon 2009 under the slogan "Our Shushi"
will be held in Los Angeles on November 26.
