EDWARD NALBANDIAN AZERBAIJAN'S BELLICOSE STATEMENTS CANNOT IMPRESS ARMENIA OR KARABAKH

Within the framework of the visit to Japan the Foreign Minister of
Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, met Crown Prince Naruhito.
Edward Nalbandian presented to Prince Naruhito Armenia's approaches
on a number of regional and international issues, as well as the
results of his previous meetings in Tokyo.
In the second half of the day Minister Nalbandian delivered a report
on Armenia's foreign policy at the International Relations Institute
of Tokyo.
Edward Nalbandian presented the current level of the Armenian-Japanese
relations, Armenia's initiatives targeted at their development and the
efforts towards the reinforcement of peace and stability in the region.
In response to the question about the constant threats from Azerbaijan,
Edward Nalbandian said: "Maybe, these statements are made with a view
of exerting pressure. Naturally, it cannot impress either Armenia
or Karabakh. These attempts create an obviously negative impression
about Azerbaijan among the international community."
The same day Minister Nalbandian gave an interview to the NHK TV and
Nikkei daily.
