YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS: In the evening of September 30 OSCE
Minsk Group co-chairs Bernard Fassier of France, Yuri Merzlyakov of
Russia and Robert Bradtke of USA arrived in Yerevan.
An official from the Embassy of France to Armenia told Armenpress
that the co-chairs will today meet Armenian President Serzh Sargsian
and Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian.
The visit of co-chairs to Stepanakert is also intended. According to
Press Secretary of NKR President Davit Babaian the mediators have
stated that within the frameworks of the regional visit they will
also have a stop in Stepanakert.
"During their each visit to the region the co-chairs also visit
Stepanakert, it is natural and fully coincides with the approaches
of NKR authorities," D. Babaian said.
According to him the visit differs from the other ones; the new
American co-chairman visits the region for the first time. The visit
will be cognitive, R. Bradtke, who is unknown in the region, will
get acquainted with the NKR leadership.
The co-chairs will also visit Baku. Their visit aims to present the
sides the refreshed variant of "Madrid" document which was worked out
during their June meeting in Krakow as well as prepare the possible
meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Serzh Sargsian and
Ilham Aliev in October in Kishnev.
