The Day of the Teachers
Today is the Day of the Teachers in Armenia. It is already a few years
that on the first Saturday of October Armenia is celebrating this day
by the RA Government decision.
Armen Ashotyan, the RA Education and Science Minister congratulated
teachers on the Day of the Teachers.
`Dear Teachers,
I am congratulating you on the day of your profession; the Day of the
Teachers.
For centuries the Armenians have pronounced the word teacher with
respect and admiration the nobility of which is conditioned with your
work and devotion. Your contribution in building, creating and
educating our children is great. We have had years in our independent
state that together with the difficulties you have voluntarily taken
over your shoulders the anxiety of keeping the school.
Today when our country is in the stage of development we again and
again rely on you, dear teachers, in strengthening the state and
realizing the dreams. Your knowledge and mastery, the creative
abilities and experience as well as the care and generosity are too
important for the new challenges of improvement in the sphere of
education. I would like to say words of honor and gratitude to the
teachers of Armenian Diaspora, the main mission of which is to keep
the Armenian spirit and the national values and to pass them from
generation to generation.
I would especially like to congratulate the aged teachers who have got
their deserved rest but continue to have their in put in the general
work by their advice and years experience. Dear teachers this
beautiful day is one more chance for all your pupils, let it be a
worker or a director, soldier or general, servant or a minister, to
send you words of gratitude and appreciation saying `We always
remember you and are grateful to you.'
