Armenia, Germany interested in developing bilateral relations

The newly appointed Ambassador of Germany to Armenia, Hans-Jochen
Schmidt presented the copies of his credentials to the Foreign Minister
of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian.
Congratulating Ambassador Schmidt on his appointment and on the 20th
anniversary of reunification of Germany, Minister Nalbandian expressed
confidence that with his activity he would give new impetus to the
reinforcement and development of relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador noted that Germany was interested in developing
multifaceted relations with Armenia.
Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Schmidt discussed issues related to
Armenia-EU cooperation, and stressed the necessity for reciprocal
visits and contacts.
At the request of the guest, Minister Nalbandian presented Armeniaâ??s
approaches on the process of settlement of the Karabakh conflict, the
normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations, as well as a number of
regional issues.
