ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities have enough will to complete the
democratic development process launched in the country, Gianni
Buquicchio, Secretary General of the Venice Commission, told media in
Yerevan on October 3.
He said Armenia joined the Venice Commission in 1995 and democratic
development in the country has become quite tangible. G. Buquicchio
said the Venice Commission is cooperating with Armenia rather
effectively and welcomes the relations achieved during these years.
Amendment of the Armenian Constitution, improvement of the election
legislation and adoption of laws on rallies and manifestations and on
Mass Media are the best evidence of this cooperation, he said. G.
Buquicchio thanked President Serzh Sargsyan for being awarded the Order
of Honor.
