Planning Pan-Armenian tour, Serzh Sargsyan certainly foresaw
everything, even the incidents like those in Paris, Deputy Speaker
of RA NA, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) member Samvel Nikoyan
told NEWS.am while speaking of the mass protest actions during the
meetings of the RA President with Diaspora representatives.
"Leaving Yerevan, President did not hope for the Diaspora to meet
him with &'Hurrah!' or &'Bravo!' chants. However, he was realizing
the significance of the tour and decided to take it despite all
difficulties," Nikoyan stated.
According to him, the aim of Sargsyan's tour is not persuading
Diaspora or obtruding his opinion, but to apprise Armenians abroad
and international community of the official Yerevan plans.
"President should be primarily governed by the interests of Armenia
and its citizens. Even if he does not succeed in convincing Diaspora
of Armenia-Turkey Protocols' signing necessity, they will be signed
regardless," Nikoyan emphasized. The signing process will be natural
up to the date of ratification in the two Parliaments. "In here the
outcome might be unexpected," the politician concluded.
