The ongoing trip of Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan through
centers of Armenian communities moves to NY, where President meets
with Armenian organizations of U.S. East Coast and Canada.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of
Trustees of the Pan-Armenian Fund "Hayastan" Gagik Harutyunyan,
Armenia's Ambassador at Large and the former president of
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Arkadi Ghukasyan, and Minister for Diaspora
    Affairs Hranush Hakobyan.

The participants welcomed Armenia's President's initiative to visit
Armenian communities. They noted that despite of relations between
Armenia and Armenian Diaspora over past 10 years, the pan-Armenian
Presidential trip created a new platform for sharing different views
of Armenians all over the world and discussions between them.

President Sargsyan in his greeting speech talked about main concerns
voiced around Armenian-Turkish negotiations and initialed protocols,
and once more again confirmed that Armenia negotiated with Turkey
    without any preconditions.

"I believe that today we've achieved maximum results," said
Mr. Sargsyan mentioning the concerns that protocols could contain
    better conditions for Armenia.

He stressed that events of last year's August in region had created a
new situation - that increased Armenian-Turkish dialogue - and had
made obvious that unresolved problems contained great challenges
including security, peaceful future of peace and prosperity of nations.

President Sargsyan expressed confidence that settlement of relations
between Armenia and Turkey would ease tension in the region and
    increase positions of mutual trust.
