SOLEMN CLOSING CEREMONY OF "REANIMANIA" FESTIVAL HELD IN YEREVAN

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Closing ceremony of the International Animated
Film Festival "ReAnimania" held October 6 in Yerevan. At the end of
the festival the film of an American animator Nina Paley "Sita Sings
the Blues" was demonstrated. All winners of the festival have been
awarded with "Symbols of eternity."
Organizing committee of "ReAnimania" established a prize named after
the famous Armenian animator Robert Saakyants, which was awarded this
year to the Italian animator. Animator Rubik Mouradyan was posthumously
awarded the prize of "ReAnimania".
The festival brought together animators from more than 31 countries,
including France, Russia, Armenia, USA, Italy, Mali, Iran, Ukraine. 250
films have been demonstrated within three days. 5 full-length and
70 short films have been included in the competition program of the
festival in the following nominations: "Best Short Film, Best feature
film," "Best thesis", "Best TV script", "People's Choice Award"
"Prize of Armenia's Ministry of Culture", "Special Prize of Children.
