October 12, 2009 RA President Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with his
Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev. Intensive political dialogue
between the two states is established, Russian President stated
reminding trilateral talks on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were held in
the beginning of October in Chisinau.
Serzh Sargsyan thanked Dmitry Medvedev for "personal involvement" in
the Karabakh conflict resolution, as well as support in the development
of Armenia-Turkey relations. Referring to Russian Foreign Minister
Sergey Lavrov attendance in the Oct.10 Protocols' signing ceremony
in Zurich, RA President stressed it speaks of Russia's pursuit of
peace and security in South Caucasus.
The parties discussed thoroughly the prospects of the economic
relations' development. Dmitry Medvedev suggested Serzh Sargsyan to
consider the return to pre-crisis turnover rate. "Crisis does not
spare anyone. Our turnover also registered 20% decline, which is not
comforting. We should think of meeting a lack," he outlined. Russian
President thanked Sargsyan for the intensive strengthening of regional
ties between Armenia and Russia.
