Political prisoner Murad Bojolian needs urgent medical treatment.
My husband needs serious treatment but he cannot receive it at
the Hospital for Convicts. Everyone knows that his condition
is deteriorating but they don't allow him to undergo proper
treatment. This is surely a political persecution against my husband. I
have announced many times that the chase after my husband started
during Kocharian's office as Kocharian's regime disapproved of my
husband's stand on Armenian-Turkish relations," Murad Bojolian's wife,
Lyudmila Bojolian told A1+.
Turkologist Murad Bojolian was taken under arrest on January 26,
2002 on charges of spying for Turkey. He was sentenced to 10 years'
imprisonment.
Bojolian is serving the sentence in Yerevan-Kentron Penitentiary
Institution.
In 2005 Bojolian had a heart attack. After a thorough examination
doctors concluded that Bojolian needs a heart operation.
"My husband needs a cardiologist and a major operation" says
Mrs. Bojolian.
Note that the convict has served 2/3 of prison term and has made no
violations which means he can be paroled.
