At a rally held by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun
(ARFD) today, two more political parties put their signatures to a
statement against the Armenian-Turkish protocols. The ARFD Executive
Council member Gegham Manukyan stated that the Nzhdehyan Tseghakron
Party and the Haykandukht Party acceded to the statement today,
bringing the number of signatories up to 14.
The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), which comprises 18
political forces, considers the political forces rallying round the
ARFD the authorities' plan, as they do not demand Serzh Sargsyan's
resignation.
Vahan Hovhannisyan (ARFD), Aram Karapetyan (New Times Party), Harutyun
Arakelyan (Ramkavar-Azatakan Party of Armenia) and Stepan Safaryan
(Heritage Party) made speeches at the rally held in front of the Moscow
cinema. The last named demanded the Armenian President's resignation.
