NO PROS AND CONS ON ARMENIA-TURKEY NORMALIZATION: ABRAMYAN

Armenia-Turkey relations is the most critical issue for the Union of
Armenians in Russia. Each Armenian is concerned, as it is a matter of
national interests and security", UAR president Ara Abramyan stated at
the Reception House, October 16. According to him, the positive aspect
of the border opening is a resumption of communication means, that
will assist the development of small and medium enterprises in Armenia.
"With border opening we will again prove the world who we are, and
show our readiness for dialogue. We made a go-ahead in the relations
with Turkey. Eventually, people link the betterment of their life
with border opening," Abramyan outlined.
According to him, there are no pros and cons in Armenia-Turkey
relations' normalization. "Today all Armenians think alike. There are
sensitive people with their own opinions and approaches. The purpose
of RA President's visit was to hear out standpoint of Diaspora and
make a decision based on that," Abramyan stated, adding that to day
Turkey did nothing for Armenians to confide in. It keeps up Armenians
in blockade and always seeks to raise voice against Armenians. "It
is naive to think Turkey will jeopardize Azerbaijan for the sake of
Armenia," Abramyan conclude
