587 THOUSAND USERS CONNECTED TO GAS CONSUMPTION SYSTEM OF ARMENIA AS OF OCTOBER 1

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 12, NOYAN TAPAN. 587,008 users were connected to
the gas consumption system of Armenia as of October 1. The number of
gas users grew by 13,053 over 9 months of this year, including 1,842
users in September.
19,565 safety devices were installed at apartments of gas consuming
users in September 2009. 200,470 safety devices were installed at
apartments as of October 6 - instead of 192 thousand devices envisaged
by the timetable.
As NT correspondent was informed by Head of PR Unit of ArmRusgazprom
CJSC, under the September 3 decision of the Armenian government, the
deadline for installation of safety devices has been extended for two
years. The company plans to finish the program on the installation
of safety devices at apartments of gas consuming users of Armenia by
1 January, 2012. The program started in December 2008.
