ARMENIAN-TURKISH PROCESS TO BE STOPPED ONLY BY POWER SHIFT

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The process of Armenian-Turkish rapprochement has
entered a decisive stage, steadily moving forward to final solution.
That's to say, Armenian and Turkish Parliaments are very likely to
ratify the documents," Director of Analytical Research Center Ruben
Hakobyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
Pro-opposition forces, in his view, were not only unable to resist
the process, but also contributed to it. "The chief pro-opposition
force - Armenian National Congress (ANC) - has taken a time out at
such decisive stage, whereas the statements of ARF-Dashnaktsutyun do
not comply with authorities' policy."
Expert believes that Dashnaktsutyun's demands for Foreign Minister's
resignation or plans to exert pressures on Parliament are not serious
since neither of the two bodies are independent and decisive factors
in Armenia's political life.
Hakobyan also finds that current Armenian-Turkish normalization
process can be stopped only by power shift, and that can be achieved
only in case both pro-opposition blocs (ANC and ARFD) become united,
leaving aside all their controversies.
